Maintenance & Plant Operator

About the role Join Elan Energy Matrix as a Maintenance & Plant Operator and play a key role in the safe, efficient and reliable operation of our pyrolysis plant in Welshpool. Working closely with the site operations team, you will help maintain high standards in safety, quality, productivity and environmental performance while supporting smooth plant operations and continuous improvement. Work schedule is one week on and one week off. Conduct preventative maintenance, inspections and servicing to maximise reliability and minimise downtime Inspect, fault-find, repair and maintain plant and equipment Monitor and control plant processes using DCS/SCADA systems Safely handle, transfer, load and package outputs Operate in accordance with site safety procedures, operating instructions and permit systems Maintain strict compliance with all process safety, environmental and quality standards and procedures Conduct routine quality control testing throughout production processes Troubleshoot process issues and assist with root cause investigations Support shutdown activities Maintain accurate production and operational records Participate in continuous improvement initiatives Contribute positively to a team-based manufacturing environment Benefits Competitive salary of up to $100,000 + Super + KPI bonus + annual salary review Stability in an established business, proud of their inclusive culture and working environment Experience & Qualifications Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking/Welding) - essential Experience operating continuous process plants Process safety management experience in a chemical manufacturing environment MEX or other maintenance/production systems experience Current High Risk Work Licence – Forklift (LF) & Confined Space First Aid Certificate Ability to follow procedures, work instructions and operational standards accurately and consistently Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capability Experience using DCS or automated process control systems Good written and verbal communication skills Intermediate computer and data entry skills About Elan Energy Matrix At Elan Energy Matrix, we’re redefining what it means to recycle – we are pioneering a waste-free process that aims to recover 100 percent of raw materials from end-of-life tyres.
