We are seeking an accomplished contract CFO to provide strategic financial leadership within a complex, high-profile organisation. This is a hands-on executive assignment requiring someone who can quickly establish credibility, lead an established finance function and provide clear, commercially sound advice to senior leaders and governance stakeholders. The assignment You will be responsible for: Leading the finance function and maintaining a high-performing, well-supported team Providing strategic financial advice to executives and governance stakeholders Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and long-term financial planning Strengthening financial controls, systems, policies and reporting Managing treasury, funding, investments, liabilities and organisational financial risk Supporting major decisions through robust analysis, modelling and business cases Maintaining strong relationships with auditors, banks and professional advisers Ensuring the organisation continues to meet its financial, regulatory and reporting obligations Identifying opportunities to improve financial performance, capability and efficiency About you You will be an experienced CFO or senior finance executive with: A recognised chartered accounting qualification Significant leadership experience in a complex accounting and finance environment Strong technical capability across financial management, reporting, treasury and risk Proven experience in budgeting, capital planning, financial modelling and business cases The confidence to advise and influence at executive and governance level Sound judgement, discretion and the ability to operate effectively in a sensitive environment A collaborative, pragmatic and delivery-focused leadership style The ability to quickly understand a new organisation and deliver under pressure Experience working within a complex, regulated or publicly accountable organisation would be advantageous.
