Job Purpose: The Junior CAM Technician supports the Model Making team by creating and preparing CAM programs for making master models. The role is responsible for converting machining-ready files, operating CAM software, and ensuring model quality meets design and manufacturing requirements. About the Job: 1. Prepare CAM programs based on CAD data for making master models according to define standard 2. Verify CAD data and ensure manufacturability before CAM programming 3. Perform self-checks on CAM file to ensure accuracy before release 4. Support model makers in producing master models and prototypes for jewelry development and set up documentation for model making processes 5. Implement design or CAM adjustments based on feedback from trial result 6. Support data collection for process analysis and performance improvement 7. Work closely with CAD Designers, Model Makers, and Process Engineers to support daily operations and design intent 8. Conduct basic troubleshooting of CAM programs and machining issues 9. Maintain CAM libraries, tooling databases, and machining standards 10. Support process improvement initiatives to enhance machining efficiency, quality, and productivity 11. Follow company safety regulations and manufacturing procedures Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, jewelry manufacturing, or any related field 2. 1 - 3 years working experience in similar roles 3. Strong knowledge of Rhinoceros program and relevant CAD/CAM software (e.g., RhinoCAM, HyperMill, Mastercam, Powermill, Fusion 360, or equivalent) 4. Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings and 3D CAD models 5. Attention to detail and ability to follow defined standards and work instructions 6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive under pressure 7. Good communication and teamwork abilities 8. Good command of English is a must
