Business Analyst (Data Team)

Role overview Act as the first point of contact and trusted data solution partner for business data initiatives, translating banking business needs into clear data requirements, data model inputs, SQL-based data inquiries, and delivery-ready specifications for the Data Warehouse and Data Analytics teams. What you'll do Serve as the intake owner for data projects, enhancement requests, impact assessments, and data usage demand. Lead and coordinate project planning, timeline management, stakeholder communication, risk and issue tracking, and ensure requirements deliverables are completed in accordance with project governance and delivery milestones.Drive end-to-end requirements management by gathering, analyzing, documenting, and obtaining sign-off on business requirements, data definitions, source-to-target mappings, business rules, and acceptance criteria. Lead the analysis and design of end-to-end data flows, translating business requirements into data solutions, source-to-target mappings, and high-level data architecture in collaboration with data architects, data engineers, data governance teams, and vendors. Lead the design of business-aligned data models, data structures, and data lineage, ensuring consistency across source systems, data warehouse, data marts, and analytics consumption layers. Use SQL for basic to intermediate data inquiry, profiling, reconciliation, validation, and issue inve stigation.Facilitate workshops, manage requirements scope, track decisions, resolve requirements issues, and secure business sign-off. Support SIT and Perform UAT activities, defect investigation and resolution, data quality checks, production readiness, user communication, and post-implementation review. Work with data engineers to resolve data incidents, if any. Apply now if you have these advantages Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, IT, Data, Computer Science, MIS, Finance, or related field.8–10+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Data Analysis, Data Warehouse, BI/Analytics, or project delivery, preferably in banking or financial services. Hands-on experience with data warehouse concepts, data mart design, ETL/ELT lifecycle, reporting, dashboards, or analytics delivery. Working knowledge of SQL for data inquiry, validation, and requirement clarification. Good understanding of project management practices, Agile/Waterfall delivery, requirement traceability, risk/issue tracking, and stakeholder governance.
