About the role Mainland Brick & Block Canterbury (2026) Ltd. is seeking an experienced Bricklayer and or Blocklayer to join our team in Christchurch, Canterbury. As a Bricklayer, you will be responsible for the construction of brick and block structures, ensuring high-quality workmanship. This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration based on experience. What you'll be doing Laying bricks, blocks, and other masonry materials to construct walls, foundations, and other structures as part of a team. Using relevant machinery to aid in the cutting and shaping of brick and blocks and the use of cement mixer. Maintaining a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations Collaborating with the construction team to ensure timely and efficient project completion What we're looking for At least 2 years of experience as a Bricklayer, with a strong understanding of building techniques and materials Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with precision and accuracy Reliable and Hardworking, ability to work in a team and as an individual A valid driver's licence or reliable transportation to get to jobsites. A commitment to safety and a willingness to adhere to all health and safety regulations Applicants for this position will require NZ Residency or a valid NZ work visa.
