Accounts Officer

SAG Workforce is seeking an experienced and adaptable Accounts Officer to join our growing team. This role is well suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can confidently manage high-volume invoicing, and has a strong understanding of general accounting processes. Key responsibilities Process a high volume of customer and supplier invoices accurately and efficiently Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions Complete invoice reconciliation and resolve discrepancies Assist with debtor follow-up and account enquiries Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation Support general accounting and month-end processes Assist with payroll processing when required Work closely with project managers and operational teams to ensure accurate job and cost allocation Help implement and improve accounting systems and administrative processes About you To be successful in this position, you will ideally have: Previous accounts experience within the construction or civil infrastructure industry Demonstrated experience processing high-volume invoicing Strong proficiency in Xero A sound understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations and general accounting principles Excellent accuracy and attention to detail Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines Confidence communicating with clients, suppliers and internal project teams A technology-focused mindset and the ability to quickly learn new systems A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach Previous payroll experience will be highly regarded What we offer A varied role within a growing construction business A supportive and collaborative team environment Exposure to multiple projects and divisions Opportunities to improve systems and contribute to business growth Competitive remuneration based on experience If you are an experienced accounts professional who enjoys working in a busy, practical and evolving environment, we would like to hear from you.
