The QHSE Manager - APAC is responsible for providing regional Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental leadership across TAIT's Asia-Pacific operations, projects and service activities. This role partners with regional leadership, project managers, producers, site delivery teams, technical teams and subcontract partners to embed QHSE into project planning and execution. Operating as part of the Global QHSE Centre of Excellence, the position provides regional governance, compliance oversight, project assurance, subcontractor assurance and management system support across multiple countries, ensuring alignment with local regulatory requirements, client expectations and TAIT's global standards. The role has a strong focus on regional compliance, project delivery support, outsourced and subcontracted activity, and enabling sustainable growth across APAC. Key Responsibilities Regional QHSE Leadership Lead the implementation of TAIT's Global QHSE Management System across APAC, ensuring regional needs are understood and aligned with global standards. Act as the regional QHSE business partner for APAC leadership, providing practical advice, challenge and support on safety, quality, environmental and compliance matters. Develop and maintain regional QHSE improvement plans that support business growth, operational maturity and client expectations. Support regional leaders with risk-based decision making, escalation of significant issues and completion of effective corrective and preventive actions. Contribute to global QHSE forums, sharing regional risks, lessons learned and improvement opportunities to strengthen the Centre of Excellence model. Project and Operational Support Partner with Project Managers, Producers, Site Delivery Managers, Engineering and Technical teams during planning, mobilisation, delivery, installation and commissioning activities. Support project risk reviews, method statements, Job Safety Analysis / Job Hazard Analysis activities, safe systems of work and project-specific QHSE plans. Provide QHSE leadership and practical support at remote project sites, client locations, service activities and regional operational locations. Conduct site and project inspections, audits and hazard identification activities, ensuring findings are communicated, owned and closed effectively. Support project teams with emergency response planning, incident management, client QHSE requirements and project assurance documentation. Regional Compliance and Assurance Maintain oversight of applicable QHSE legal and regulatory requirements across APAC operating countries, coordinating specialist local advice where required. Lead or coordinate regional compliance evaluations, internal audits, inspections and management system assurance activities. Support external audits, client reviews, regulatory engagement and ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification activities as required. Ensure compliance records, audit outputs, incident data, corrective actions and management system evidence are maintained accurately and consistently. Support due diligence and QHSE readiness reviews for new countries, offices, projects, service activities or operational locations. Supplier and Subcontractor Assurance Monitor contractor, subcontractor and supplier compliance with TAIT QHSE standards, project requirements and applicable local regulations. Support subcontractor approval, onboarding, induction, performance monitoring and escalation of significant QHSE concerns. Provide quality assurance support for outsourced manufacture, supplier activity, installation partners and other subcontracted scopes of work. Work with project and procurement teams to ensure QHSE expectations are defined, understood and verified throughout delivery. Management Systems and Continuous Improvement Support deployment and adoption of global QHSE systems, including incident reporting, NCR management, document control and action tracking tools. Develop or adapt regional procedures, templates and guidance where local requirements or APAC operating conditions require additional clarification. Drive consistency in incident reporting, investigation, root cause analysis, corrective action management and lessons learned across the region. Identify trends, recurring issues and opportunities for improvement, ensuring learning is shared across APAC and the wider global business. Training and Engagement Deliver or facilitate project-focused inductions, toolbox talks, awareness sessions and QHSE training for employees, freelancers, contractors and subcontract partners. Coach regional managers, project leaders and supervisors to proactively manage risk and integrate QHSE requirements into day-to-day decision making. Promote a positive QHSE culture based on early risk identification, open reporting, practical problem solving and shared ownership. Performance and Reporting Track regional incidents, NCRs, audit findings, inspections, corrective actions and key QHSE performance indicators. Report APAC QHSE performance, risks and improvement priorities to regional leadership and the VP, Global QHSE. Provide insight to support project reviews, management reviews, client discussions and business planning activities. Escalate significant risks, compliance concerns, incident trends or quality issues in a timely and structured manner. Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of QHSE management experience in engineering, project delivery, construction, integration, live events, manufacturing or other high-risk environments. Experience supporting project-based operations and geographically dispersed teams across multiple locations or countries. Strong working knowledge of risk assessment, incident investigation, audit, contractor management and project assurance practices. Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management system requirements; lead auditor qualification desirable. Recognized health and safety qualification such as NEBOSH Diploma, equivalent professional qualification or relevant regional qualification preferred. Excellent communication, coaching and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior leaders, project teams, technical specialists, clients and subcontract partners. Flexibility and willingness to travel throughout APAC, including remote project sites, client locations and supplier or subcontractor locations.
