Role Title: Surfacing Engineer, Roadmarking Location: Nelson Contract Type: Full Time Nau mai, haere mai ki a Fulton Hogan | Join us at Fulton Hogan The Opportunity We are seeking a motivated and experienced Surfacing Engineer to join our Roadmarking Team in the Nelson Region. In this role you will be involved in various aspects of managing our existing surfacing business whilst meeting the primary objectives of safety, quality and service. You will support the Roadmarking Department Manager in the management and delivery of the forward works programme, whilst meeting the primary objectives of safety, quality, and service that Fulton Hogan and our clients require. Your key responsibilities will be to support with: Programme Planning and Job Management Pricing, Tendering and Securing Work Field work / crew assistance Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with work instructions, client specifications or standards prepared for a particular job. This position will include operational tasks with our Roadmarking crews as well as office-based support for the Department Manager. What you'll bring to the table Our ideal candidate will have previous surfacing experience. However, it is not essential as we will provide full training for the right candidate. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
