Brookby Quarries Limited is one of Auckland’s prime manufacturing quarries and we have a new opportunity for an experienced industrial electrician to join our hard working, enthusiastic team based at our quarry in Brookby, South Auckland. This position is for a full-time person, who has proven experience in manufacturing equipment and automation. You must have a keen eye for detail, be self-motivated and organised. The successful applicant will be working within a team who oversee the day-to-day maintenance and operation of quarry machinery. Main tasks of this role: - You will be ensuring crushing plant reliability, diagnostics, and repair. Be involved in the design, installation and commissioning of additional plant and equipment. Be working with PLC’s, SCADA and control systems having close relationships with external automation engineers. Provide electrical maintenance of all other support infrastructure on site. Supporting production teams to minimise downtime and keep operations running efficiently Ensuring compliance with all safety and electrical standards To be successful in this role you will possess the following qualifications, skills & experience: - NZ Registered Electrician with a current EWRB practicing licence. Have proven experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment. Be familiar with and have experience with PLC’s, control systems, VSD’s, power factor correction etc. Have strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Take pride in quality workmanship Have excellent written and verbal communication skills Be a team player while also being able to work independently Demonstrate initiative, have a positive can-do attitude and be self-motivated Are physically fit and energetic.
