Job Summary: We are on the lookout for multiple Rigger/Dogman for a fixed-term contract starting now and finishing in October 2028. What You’ll Be Doing: Sling and direct complex lifts alongside experienced crane operators Identify and report defects with lifting and rigging equipment Assist with crane setup, deconstruction, and site preparation Keep work areas safe, tidy, and compliant with site rules Communicate clearly with crane operators, supervisors and clients Help maintain high safety standards on every lift and every site What We’re Looking for: Minimum 2 years’ proven experience as a Rigger/Dogman in construction, heavy lifting, or crane operations Solid understanding of lift plans, site hazards and best practices Full NZ driver’s licence or international equivalent (with the ability to transfer) Strong teamwork, communication, and organisational skills Reliability, professionalism, and a commitment to safety Clear pre-employment drug & alcohol test Holds NZQA Unit Standards 30072 and 3789 – preferred What We Offer: Pay rate: $32.00-$42.00 + overtime Minimum guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week Fixed-term position from now until October 2028 due to the duration and operational requirements of a major construction project in Dunedin. Employment will end on project completion.
