Senior Quantity Surveyor – Data Centers

With a reputation for delivering commercial excellence across some of New Zealand's most complex and high-profile projects, this organisation has established itself as a trusted advisor to many of the country's leading public and private sector clients. The have recently secured a number of high-profile data centre projects, and in line with their strategic growth of their project pipeline, they are looking for an established Senior Quantity Surveyor with extensive Data centre experience to join their talented team. In this role will be required to perform various quantity surveying functions including estimating, planning and cost management, cost monitoring, and accurate and timely financial reporting whilst exercising sound financial acumen with a key focus on proactively maximising value for their clients. Key Responsibilities Include : Liaising with clients, architects, and main contractors Master plan and feasibility budgets Estimating Cost checking of developing design Value engineering Tender evaluations and analysis Contract negotiations Cash flow projects Procurement Cost reporting Evaluation of variations Payment Recommendations Final account reporting Claims preparation, presentation, negotiation and settlement of claims Investment analysis Formulating and implementing benchmarking processes to improve the consistency, accuracy and time to prepare cost models and plans Skills & Experience Minimum 7 years’ professional quantity surveying experience Direct proven experience working on Data Centre projects Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying RICS / NZIQS professional qualification preferred but not essential Proficient in Microsoft Office and CostX Strong commercial acumen Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Benefits Above-market salary package Annual bonus scheme Car parking Work–life balance Collaborative working environment Ongoing training and development, including paid support for professional memberships If you are a Data center guru and are ready for your next challenge, apply now or contact Rachel Chitty for a confidential discussion 027 209 8858 or 09 309 8959 .
