PAYROLL OFFICER (Part-Time) Newcastle | 3 Days per Week (Monday–Wednesday) About Australian Drilling Systems (ADS) Group Australian Drilling Systems (ADS) Group is a leading manufacturer and operator of specialised underground UIS directional drilling and secondary support equipment for the Australian coal industry. We provide complete drilling, secondary support, and project solutions, with our equipment and personnel operating across many of Australia's leading mine sites. About the Role This is a part-time position based in Newcastle, working three days per week (Monday to Wednesday). You will be responsible for the weekly payroll process while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent service to our employees. Key Responsibilities Collate and process weekly payroll data Process weekly payroll accurately and on time Complete weekly Single Touch Payroll (STP) lodgements Process Child Support deductions and lodgements Complete weekly Superannuation Guarantee (SGC) contributions Process employee leave requests and maintain the leave register Prepare end-of-week payroll reporting and PAYG bank uploads Respond to employee payroll enquiries in a professional and timely manner Provide general payroll administration and assist with ad hoc tasks as required About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Previous experience in a payroll position Solid working knowledge of MYOB or a similar payroll system Strong working knowledge of Microsoft excel Experience with Single Touch Payroll (STP) Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong analytical and organisational skills Effective time management and the ability to meet weekly payroll deadlines Knowledge of the Black Coal Mining Industry Award (highly regarded but not essential) What We Offer Above-market remuneration Flexible working hours A supportive, small team that values quality and collaboration An established and growing business with long-term contracts and job security If you have the skills and experience, we're looking for and enjoy working in a collaborative environment, we'd love to hear from you.
