Reporting to an inspirational CEO and as a member of the Executive Leadership team, the Chief Financial & Performance Officer will be responsible for leading the transformation and operation of the finance & performance function, providing group-wide commercial and financial leadership. Working in partnership with Members and colleagues, the CFPO will drive the success of group profitability, cost discipline, reporting integrity, capital discipline, economic truth and scorecard consistency to deliver against the overall Mitre 10 strategy. Additionally, the Chief Financial & Performance Officer will provide sound governance of financial, accounting and legal functions, and input into strategic planning, effective governance, property investment and risk management. The successful candidate will shape a modern, insight-driven finance function supporting the business in linking customer insight and value creation to execution and outcomes. The ideal candidate will have: Led the finance function of an organisation, or held a significant portfolio within the finance function of a large complex entity. Strong commercial acumen and data-driven decision-making capability, using insights to improve profitability, operational performance and customer outcomes. Experience leading business transformation and change programmes, ideally within growth-focused or value-creation environments. Expertise across FP&A, financial and management accounting processes and systems, reporting, budgeting, governance, risk management, financial control et al. Balance sheet stewardship, capital management, investment evaluation and corporate finance leadership. Experience sponsoring or leading major ERP transformations, with particular interest in executives who have been financial or executive sponsors of SAP implementations. Experience operating in a customer-led, multi-site organisations, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders and lead high-performing teams through complexity and change.
