TRL Juniors Coach & Official (Immediate Start) Build your sports career while getting kids involved in sport Are you passionate about sport, coaching and helping young athletes build confidence and develop their skills? Touch Rugby League (TRL) is looking for enthusiastic, reliable and energetic coaches to join our growing TRL Juniors team for an immediate start. This is a fantastic opportunity for university students, aspiring teachers, sports coaches, referees, athletes or anyone looking to build a career in sport while making a genuine impact on young people. Our Junior Competitions focus on participation, skill development, teamwork and creating a fun, safe and inclusive environment for every child. Current Coaching Locations Successful applicants will primarily coach at two or more of our junior competitions: Monday – Bardon Tuesday – Kedron Wednesday – Rocklea & Mitchelton Thursday – Mt Gravatt Applicants available for multiple evenings each week will be highly regarded. About the Role As a TRL Juniors Coach & Match Official , you'll play a key role in delivering an exceptional experience for our junior participants and their families. Responsibilities include: Coaching and mentoring junior players across weekly competitions. Encouraging participation, sportsmanship and confidence. Teaching and reinforcing fundamental rugby league skills. Refereeing junior games (training provided). Supporting venue operations to ensure competitions run smoothly. Creating a welcoming and positive environment for players and parents. Assisting with setup and pack down where required. About TRL Touch Rugby League (TRL) is Australia's fastest growing social rugby league competition, with up to 1,000 teams competing every week across Australia. Our Junior Competitions are continuing to expand throughout Brisbane, providing children with a fun, inclusive and engaging introduction to rugby league while developing lifelong skills and friendships. We also facilitate toddler (2 to 6) coaching programs during the week at local childcare centres and clubs through our sister brand, Billy's Buddies (www.billysbuddies.com.au). Looking for More Hours? While this role is primarily focused on TRL Juniors , there are opportunities for the right candidates to increase their weekly hours by working across other areas of the business, including: TRL Seniors – Competition management and officiating. Evenings Monday to Thursday. Billy's Buddies – Coaching children aged 2 to 6 years through fun, game-based sessions that teach catching, passing and kicking fundamentals. Monday to Saturday mornings. This provides an excellent pathway for applicants looking to build a long-term career in sport. What We're Looking For The ideal applicant will: Hold a current Blue Card (or be willing to obtain one). Hold a current First Aid & CPR qualification (or be willing to obtain one before commencing). Have a current driver's licence and reliable access to a vehicle. Be available for at least two weekday evenings. Have strong communication and customer service skills. Enjoy working with children and helping them develop. Be prepared to referee matches (full training provided). Have previous coaching, refereeing or sporting experience (preferred but not essential). Hours Immediate start available. Flexible weekday evening work. Additional coaching opportunities available for suitable candidates.
