We foster an environment where both students and educators grow through collaboration, innovation, and lifelong learning. Our school culture is positive, purposeful, and professional, focused on nurturing high standards in all aspects of school life. Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Innovation Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in delivering hands-on, project-based curriculum that bridges digital logic with physical creation. You will design and deliver dynamic, level-appropriate lessons that guide students through block-based programming, physical computing, and maker-space fabrication — building confidence in design thinking, prototyping, and problem-solving. The successful candidate will inspire students to reach their full potential, contribute actively to the school community, and collaborate with colleagues to support both academic achievement and student wellbeing. A commitment to professional growth and participation in school initiatives is essential. Key Responsibilities: 1. Teaching & Learning ● To deliver hands-on, project-based Innovation/STEM lessons per the weekly teaching schedule. ●To prepare level-appropriate lessons and materials bridging digital logic with physical creation. ●Block-Based Instruction: To teach programming using Scratch, MIT App Inventor, and MakeCode (specifically for Micro:bit). ●Maker-Space Operations: To operate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment such as 3D printers and laser cutters. ●Design Thinking: To guide students through the Design Thinking process — from ideation to prototyping. ●To assist in test writing, marking, and entering grades into the school system. ●To work with all other teachers in the department to provide the best level of education in accordance with professional standards expected in the school. ●Collaborate with the Head of Department and Academic Support to support students' academic and pastoral needs. 2. School & Departmental Contributions ●Promote a positive school culture through collaboration with colleagues, participating in departmental and school-wide initiatives, meetings, and professional development. ●Safety Mindset: Strict adherence to workshop safety protocols, and the ability to instill these habits in teenagers. ●Adaptability: Comfortable "failing forward" alongside students when code or builds don't work the first time. ●Contribute to curriculum development, cross-curricular maker projects, and leadership activities within the school. ●Maintain professional dialogue to share ideas and best practices in teaching and learning. ●Participate actively in extracurricular activities, demonstrating commitment to the whole-child approach. ●Support the effective and efficient operation of the school by undertaking additional duties as requested by school leadership. Qualifications: ●Education: Bachelor's degree in Education (Computer Science/STEM focus), Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. ●Block-Based Proficiency: Proven experience teaching Scratch, MIT App Inventor, and MakeCode (Micro:bit). ●Maker Skills: Proven experience in the maker space — operating and troubleshooting equipment such as 3D printers and laser cutters. ●Project-Based Learning (PBL): Ability to guide students through the Design Thinking process, from ideation to prototyping. ●Strong classroom management and communication skills. ●Experience with assessment design, grading, and tracking student progress. ●Enthusiastic about education, collaboration, and ongoing professional growth. What We Offer: ●Competitive salary (based on experience and qualifications) ●Access to modern maker-space tools and resources (3D printers, laser cutters, robotics kits) ●Ongoing professional development opportunities ●Supportive and collaborative working environment How to Apply: Please email your CV, a brief cover letter, and a recent photo to: sutthida.boo@ondemand.in.th Send Resume
