NES Primary English Teacher Posted 2 hours ago POSITION: Primary English Teacher LOCATION: Bangkok, Thailand (Campus 64) WEBSITE: https://anglosingapore.ac.th/ START DATE: August 2026 Job Summary Anglo Singapore International School is seeking a committed, academically strong, and experienced Primary English Teacher to join our Primary School team in Bangkok. The successful candidate will teach Cambridge Primary First Language English, delivering rigorous and structured English instruction that builds strong literacy foundations, confident communication, and critical thinking skills. The role also includes responsibilities as a homeroom teacher, supporting students’ pastoral care, wellbeing, and personal development. This position is suited to an educator who can teach First Language English to students for whom English is a second language, while maintaining high academic expectations and fostering a supportive, respectful classroom community. Key Responsibilities Academic Responsibilities - Teach Cambridge Primary First Language English across the Primary years, in line with Cambridge curriculum expectations and progression frameworks. - Plan and deliver intentional, well-structured English lessons that develop reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. - Teach First Language English effectively to students for whom English is a second language, using appropriate scaffolding while maintaining academic rigour. - Develop students’ skills in phonics, reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, writing structure, and extended written expression. - Use formative and summative assessment to monitor progress and inform differentiation and targeted support. - Provide clear, constructive feedback to support continuous improvement in English language and literacy skills. - Homeroom, Pastoral & Wellbeing Responsibilities - Serve as homeroom teacher, taking responsibility for students’ pastoral care, wellbeing, and day-to-day support. - Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that supports emotional safety, independence, and positive learning habits. - Monitor students’ social and emotional development and work closely with relevant staff to support student wellbeing. - Communicate regularly and effectively with parents regarding students’ academic progress, wellbeing, and overall development. Professional Responsibilities - Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure curriculum coherence and consistency across the Primary programme. - Participate in school-wide events, co-curricular activities, and professional development. Uphold school policies, including safeguarding and child wellbeing. Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Primary Education, or a related field - Recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent. - Minimum of 2–3 years’ teaching experience in Primary English. - Strong knowledge of the Cambridge Primary English curriculum, including learning objectives, progression, and assessment expectations. - Proven experience teaching First Language English to students for whom English is a second language in a mainstream primary classroom. - Strong understanding of primary literacy development and strategies to scaffold language without reducing academic demand. - Experience working in international or multilingual school settings is highly desirable. - Strong proficiency in English for teaching and professional communication. - Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills. - A reflective, caring, and professional teaching approach with a clear commitment to academic excellence and student wellbeing.
