Finance & Accounting Manager

Regional Finance and Accounting Manager Key Responsibilities 1. Financial Management & Reporting Oversee financial performance of all retail stores, distribution centers, and entities in the region. Consolidate store, country, and regional P&L with accurate sales, margin, shrinkage, and OPEX reporting. Provide weekly/monthly sales and profitability reports to Group management. Monitor KPIs such as sell-through, gross margin, stock turnover, and store productivity. 2. Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning Lead annual budget and seasonal planning cycles across markets. Prepare and update rolling forecasts (sales, inventory, promotions, markdowns). Analyze variances in sales, cost of goods sold (COGS), logistics cost, rent, and labor cost. Advise management on pricing, discount strategies, and cost-saving opportunities. 3. Retail Accounting Operations Ensure accurate recording of daily sales, cash reconciliation, and payment gateway settlements. Oversee inventory accounting, including stock adjustments, shrinkage, and cycle count controls. Manage month-end closing across all markets with consistent accounting standards. Coordinate with store operations to resolve POS and cash discrepancies. 4. Internal Controls & Compliance Strengthen internal controls related to cash handling, inventory movement, and promotions. Ensure compliance with Group accounting policies, local tax laws, and audit requirements. Support internal and external audits and follow up on remediation actions. 5. Business Partnering Partner with Retail Operations, Merchandising, Supply Chain, and HR teams. Provide financial insights to support new store openings, closures, and location profitability. Evaluate ROI of marketing campaigns, loyalty programs, and promotional activities. Support strategic initiatives: e-commerce expansion, omnichannel projects, and cost optimization. 6. Leadership & Team Development Lead and mentor finance and accounting teams across countries. Standardize financial processes and reporting across the region. Build capabilities in retail finance, inventory management, and store-level accounting. Qualifications Education & Certifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent preferred. Experience 7–12 years of finance/accounting experience with at least 3–5 years in retail, FMCG, or multi-store environments . Experience in multi-country/regional roles is highly preferred. Strong understanding of retail P&L (sales, margin, shrinkage, rent, labor, logistics). Experience with high-volume transactions and POS/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Netsuite, Retail Pro, etc.). Skills Strong analytical skills, especially in sales trends, margin analysis, and inventory. Proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data visualization tools. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional and multicultural teams. High integrity, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in fast-paced retail operations.
