Assistant Server and Network Manager

Job Summary: The Assistant Server and Network Manager supports the end-to-end management of Ananda’s core IT infrastructure, with a strong focus on enterprise network services and data center/server environments. The role assists in planning, operating, and optimizing server, storage, and network platforms that underpin business-critical applications for residential development, sales galleries, construction sites, and corporate functions. This position helps ensure high availability, performance, security, and scalability of networks and servers, provides technical leadership to the infrastructure team, and works closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to enable reliable, secure operations in a project-based real estate business model. Responsibilities: Infrastructure & Network Strategy and Planning · Support the Infrastructure Manager in developing medium-term roadmap for server, storage, and network infrastructure to meet business growth, security, and performance needs. · Provide input on network architecture, WAN/LAN/Wi-Fi design, and data center/server topology, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and cybersecurity requirements. Network Operations & Performance · Oversee day-to-day operation of corporate network (LAN, WAN, VPN, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, Internet gateways, firewalls, load balancers), ensuring stability, availability, and performance across head office, sales galleries, and project sites. · Monitor network capacity, utilization, and performance using network management tools; proactively identify bottlenecks and drive optimization (QoS, traffic shaping, link upgrades, routing optimization). · Coordinate implementation and maintenance of network segmentation, VLANs, routing (static/dynamic), and network security policies to protect corporate and project environments · Manage network changes (change requests, configuration updates, firmware/OS upgrades) following IT change management processes, minimizing service disruption. · Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for network incidents (connectivity, latency, packet loss, security events), coordinating with ISPs, vendors, and internal teams as needed. Network Security & Compliance · Work with Information Security to implement and maintain secure network architecture, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN policies, web filtering, and access control lists. · Ensure network configurations and operations comply with corporate security standards, regulatory requirements, and audit needs. · Support periodic network security assessments, vulnerability remediation, and penetration testing follow-up actions. Server, Virtualization & Storage Operations · Supervise daily operation of on-premise servers, virtualization platforms, and storage (e.g., VMware/Hyper-V, SAN/NAS), ensuring high availability, capacity, and performance. · Coordinate patching, upgrades, backup/restore, and performance tuning for servers supporting core business applications (ERP, CRM, project management, collaboration tools). · Support disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity planning and testing for server and network infrastructure. Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure Support · Assist in managing connectivity and integration between on-premise infrastructure and cloud platforms (e.g., VPN, ExpressRoute, SD-WAN to cloud). · Support migration initiatives and hybrid architectures ensuring secure, reliable access to cloud-based applications and services.
