Supply Chain Management Director Location: Bangkok, Thailand Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Job Purpose Provide strategic leadership for end-to-end supply chain to ensure product availability, quality and food safety compliance, cost competitiveness, and operational excellence across all restaurants and channels. Lead transformation and governance across planning, sourcing, supplier management, logistics, and risk resilience to support business growth and profitability. Key Responsibilities 1) Strategy, Governance & Leadership Define and execute enterprise supply chain strategy aligned with company growth, expansion roadmap, and brand standards. Establish governance, policies, and performance management frameworks to ensure consistency and compliance. Lead, develop, and retain high-performing teams; build succession and capability plans across SCM functions. 2) Demand Planning, S&OP & Inventory Optimization Own forecasting accuracy and S&OP governance to align demand, supply, and financial plans. Set inventory policies (safety stock, replenishment, shelf-life controls) to minimize stock-outs, waste, and obsolescence. Partner with Operations and Marketing to anticipate promotions, seasonality, and new product launches. 3) Strategic Sourcing, Procurement & Supplier Performance Lead strategic sourcing and contract negotiation for food, packaging, and indirect categories. Manage supplier selection, performance scorecards, corrective actions, and supplier development programs. Ensure ethical sourcing, contractual compliance, and alignment with McDonald’s standards and local regulations. 4) Logistics, Distribution & Cold Chain Excellence Oversee distribution network performance (warehouse/DC, transportation, cold chain) to ensure on-time, in-full and quality-compliant deliveries. Optimize network design, route planning, and cost-to-serve to improve efficiency and reduce logistics cost. Drive service recovery and escalation processes to resolve critical disruptions quickly. 5) Quality, Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance Partner with QA/FS to maintain robust food safety systems, traceability, and audit readiness across suppliers and logistics partners. Ensure compliance with Thai regulatory requirements and internal control standards. Lead preventive risk management and incident response (product quality, recalls, supply disruptions). 6) Cost Management & Value Creation Deliver annual productivity and savings targets through value engineering, process improvements, and waste reduction. Own SCM budget planning, cost tracking, and performance reporting to the CEO. Provide insights on commodity trends, pricing risks, and mitigation strategies. 7) Risk, Resilience & Business Continuity Build supply resilience plans for key commodities, single-source risks, demand surges, and external disruptions. Maintain Business Continuity Plans (BCP), crisis playbooks, and alternative sourcing/logistics options. Strengthen supplier and logistics risk monitoring to protect business continuity. 8) Digital & Transformation Drive end-to-end SCM transformation through analytics, planning tools, visibility dashboards, and process automation. Lead cross-functional transformation projects to improve speed, transparency, and decision quality. Key Stakeholders CEO, Operations, QA/Food Safety, Finance, Marketing, Restaurant Development/Real Estate, Legal, HR, suppliers, 3PL/logistics partners, and regulatory bodies (as applicable) Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field; Master’s preferred. 15+ years in supply chain/procurement/logistics with 5+ years in senior leadership (Director/Head level). Strong experience in QSR/FMCG/food/retail environments, including cold chain and high-volume distribution. Proven track record in S&OP, strategic sourcing, supplier management, and logistics optimization. Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and stakeholder management at executive level. Strong knowledge of food safety, quality systems, and regulatory compliance. Fluent in Thai and business English.
