Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Sales Manager – Indian Market to lead business development and revenue growth in the Indian market. This role is responsible for generating business across Leisure, MICE, Weddings, Banquets, Corporate Groups, and Wholesale segments , while building long-term relationships with travel partners, event planners, corporate clients, and destination wedding specialists. The ideal candidate possesses a strong network within the Indian travel industry, understands the unique needs of Indian travelers, and has a proven ability to drive revenue for hotels and resorts. Key Responsibilities Business Development Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow revenue from the Indian market. Identify and secure new business opportunities across Leisure, MICE, Corporate, Banquet, Wedding, and Group segments. Establish relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, DMCs, wedding planners, event organizers, and corporate clients. Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings, and property presentations. Represent the hotel at trade shows, roadshows, networking events, and sales missions. Leisure & Wholesale Sales Grow FIT, GIT, and leisure group business from India. Maintain strong relationships with wholesale partners, OTAs, and travel agencies. Negotiate contracts and preferred partnership agreements. MICE & Corporate Sales Generate meetings, conferences, incentives, and corporate event business. Work closely with event organizers and corporate accounts to secure group bookings. Prepare proposals and negotiate commercial agreements. Weddings & Banquet Sales Drive destination wedding and social event business from the Indian market. Promote banquet facilities and customized event packages. Collaborate with the Events and Operations teams to ensure seamless execution. Account Management Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts. Conduct regular account reviews and identify opportunities for business growth. Deliver exceptional customer service to encourage repeat business. Revenue & Performance Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets. Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurate forecasts. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies. Prepare weekly sales reports and market intelligence updates. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Revenue Management, Marketing, Reservations, and Operations to maximize commercial opportunities. Coordinate promotional campaigns targeted specifically at the Indian market. Ensure smooth communication between clients and hotel operations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Minimum 3–5 years of hotel sales experience , with direct responsibility for the assigned market. Strong knowledge of the Indian outbound travel market. Existing relationships with Indian travel agencies, DMCs, corporate companies, wedding planners, or MICE organizers are highly preferred. Experience with international hotel brands is an advantage. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required. Skills & Competencies Strong business development and networking skills Excellent negotiation and closing abilities Knowledge of the Indian leisure, wedding, and MICE markets Commercial mindset with strong revenue focus Outstanding presentation and communication skills Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously Strong analytical and reporting skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems Excellent command of English; knowledge of Hindi or other related languages is a strong advantage Ideal Candidate We are looking for a proactive, relationship-driven sales professional with a strong understanding of the market.
