Summary The Digital Health Platform System Tester is responsible for improving the quality, stability, and reliability of digital health platform releases before deployment to business users for testing and production use. This role supports the testing of healthcare-related applications such as teleconsultation, ePrescription, doctor assignment, patient registration, appointment workflow, pharmacy integration, payment status, notification flow, reporting dashboards, and related digital health modules. The tester will prepare test scenarios, execute test cases, identify defects, validate fixes, support User Acceptance Testing, and ensure system changes meet business requirements. This role has a direct impact on reducing production issues, improving user confidence, and ensuring smoother system deployment. The role works closely with developers, product owners, project managers, business users, doctors, pharmacy operations, customer service, and application support teams to ensure quality releases and better business continuity. A. Operational Responsibilities Develop test scenarios, test cases, and test data based on business requirements, user stories, system specifications, and change requests. Execute functional testing, regression testing, smoke testing, integration testing, and end-to-end workflow testing before system release. Review key digital health workflows including teleconsultation, ePrescription, doctor assignment, appointment booking, patient registration, pharmacy fulfilment, payment status, notification, and reporting. Identify system defects and document issues clearly with steps to reproduce, screenshots, test evidence, expected results, actual results, and severity classification. Support defect retesting by validating fixes and ensuring resolved issues are properly closed before deployment. Coordinate with developers, product owners, project managers, and business users to clarify requirements and resolve testing issues. Monitor testing progress, defect status, risks, and blockers, and provide timely updates to relevant stakeholders. Support User Acceptance Testing by preparing test scenarios, test data, defect logs, and business user testing guidance. B. Strategic Responsibilities Improve testing coverage to reduce production defects, repeated issues, and business user complaints. Develop and maintain a reusable test case library for digital health platform modules and critical business workflows. Analyse recurring defects and recommend preventive improvements to enhance application quality and system stability. Improve release readiness checks by supporting standardised testing documentation, defect tracking, and sign-off practices. C. People Responsibilities Coordinate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure testing issues are understood, prioritised, and resolved effectively. Support business users during UAT by explaining test scenarios, assisting with issue reporting, and validating user feedback. D. Governance / Compliance Ensure all test evidence, test results, defect records, and release testing documentation are properly maintained for traceability and audit purposes. Review user roles, access permissions, approval flows, and sensitive data handling to support patient confidentiality, data privacy, and healthcare operational requirements. Requirements Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Information Systems, or related field. At least 2 - 3 years of experience in software testing, system testing, QA analysis, or application testing. Experience in web application, mobile application, workflow system, portal, or enterprise application testing. Experience in healthcare, teleconsultation, pharmacy, patient management, ePrescription, or digital platform testing is an added advantage. Experience preparing test cases, executing test scripts, documenting defects, supporting UAT, and performing regression testing. Experience working with developers, business users, product owners, project managers, and application support teams. Good understanding of functional testing, regression testing, smoke testing, integration testing, and UAT support. Able to prepare clear test scenarios, test cases, test data, test results, and defect reports. Able to perform basic validation of system workflow, user roles, approval flows, and business rules. Basic SQL knowledge for data checking is an advantage. Basic API testing knowledge using Postman or similar tools is an advantage. Familiar with defect tracking and project tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Trello, ClickUp, TestRail, or similar tools.
