We are looking for an adaptable and forward-thinking AI Programmer to join our technical team. In this role, you will help design, maintain, and optimize our internal systems while evaluating and integrating modern tools—including Generative AI workflows—into our enterprise infrastructure. If you are a self-driven problem solver who combines strong software engineering fundamentals with curiosity about modern developer tools, we would love to connect with you. Key Responsibilities ● Assist in developing, maintaining, and enhancing internal systems by building new functionalities, tuning performance, and implementing security patches. ● Ensure internal software runs efficiently and securely across enterprise environments. ● Work with cross-functional teams to evaluate, test, and securely deploy enterprise software. ● Integrate modern productivity tools and Generative AI solutions into the Group’s existing tech infrastructure. ● Analyze business requirements, map out system workflows, and write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. ● Trace technical issues across system layers to diagnose root causes and apply robust fixes. Job Requirements ● Hands-on experience with Node.js and Python (relevant academic projects or personal repositories/GitHub profiles are welcome) . ● Solid grasp of core web concepts and networking protocols, including HTTP/HTTPS, RESTful APIs, DNS, IP addressing, and client-server architecture. ● Proficiency in relational database concepts with hands-on experience writing clean SQL queries (SELECT, JOIN, UPDATE, DELETE). ● Proven ability to comprehend complex system architecture, data schemas, and backend logic to design reliable solutions. ● Familiarity with modern developer tools and AI productivity assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, LLM tools) to accelerate research and workflows—paired with the critical technical judgment required to validate, test, and debug code independently. ● Solid understanding of data security, privacy principles, and proper handling of proprietary code and sensitive enterprise data. ● Adaptable, proactive, and curious—capable of untangling legacy system logic while rapidly mastering new technical stacks. Nice-to-Haves / Bonus Skills ● Ability to read, maintain, or adapt to other backend languages such as PHP, Ruby, Go, or Java.

Here's how to pick the right one and stand out in your application.

That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
