Senior Systems Analyst (Core Banking), Information Technology Group

We are seeking an experienced and motivated team lead for core banking application with a proven track record in the banking industry. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development, enhancement, and maintenance of mission-critical applications. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Java-based enterprise and banking applications, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability. Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional IT teams to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications. Participate actively in the system development lifecycle (SDLC), including system analysis, design, development, code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing. Plan, coordinate, and manage system deployments, upgrades, patches, and releases, ensuring minimal downtime and seamless application operations. Monitor application performance and troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve production issues, providing timely root-cause analysis and preventive solutions. Contribute to system architecture design and technical decision-making, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, security policies, and best practices. Maintain technical documentation, system specifications, and operational procedures to support long-term maintainability. Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending enhancements to system functionality, performance, and reliability. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 15 years of hands-on professional experience in Java development, preferably within the banking or financial services industry. Proven experience working on mission-critical enterprise applications with high availability and robust security requirements. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work under pressure in production environments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders. Solid understanding of software development best practices, including object-oriented design, testing methodologies, and code quality standards. Experience or domain knowledge in Core banking platforms , or general banking systems is a strong advantage.
