📍 Johor Bahru, Malaysia 🕒 Full-Time Key Highlights Pioneering Greenfield Leadership: Build, launch, and scale a brand-new digital printing facility from the ground up. Cross-Border Scope: Regional mandate bridging Singapore’s operational excellence with Malaysia’s manufacturing growth. Full P&L & Entity Ownership: Lead operations, finance, commercial fulfilment, and team building as Country Head. Our client is a leading full-service publishing, printing, and supply-chain partner headquartered in Singapore. They integrate offset/digital printing with advanced warehousing, fulfilment, and distribution to shape the future of reading and make knowledge accessible worldwide. To support our next phase of regional expansion, they are seeking an entrepreneurial, hands-on General Manager to spearhead this greenfield transformation. The Role As General Manager, you will hold ultimate accountability for the end-to-end establishment, commercial ramp-up, and full operating performance of our new Johor facility. You will initially spend time at our Singapore HQ to master our operating standards and workflows, translating them into a high-performing Malaysian operation. Key Responsibilities: Greenfield Launch & Scale: Oversee plant setup, vendor/contractor management, equipment installation, and commissioning across pre-press, press, and finishing operations. Operational & Financial Excellence: Own full site P&L, operational budgets, health & safety, statutory compliance, quality control, and yield/waste targets. Team Building & Culture: Recruit, onboard, and mentor a multidisciplinary local team across production, engineering, HR, finance, and supply chain. Cross-Border Alignment: Collaborate closely with Singapore HQ functional leads to align group SOPs while ensuring full local regulatory compliance. Stakeholder & Supply Chain Management: Act as primary local representative for regulatory bodies, contractors, vendors, and strategic customers. What We Are Looking For Min 10–15+ years in printing, packaging, or industrial manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior site/plant management or business leadership role. (Technical expertise in offset/digital printing workflows highly regarded) . Greenfield / Expansion Track Record: Proven experience building new facilities, setting up production lines, or driving major plant expansions from scratch. Commercial & Leadership Acumen: Strong capability in budgeting, P&L management, vendor negotiation, and culture building. Mobility: Willingness to commute to the Singapore HQ during the initial familiarization phase. Qualifications: Degree in Printing Technology, Engineering, Operations/Business Management, or equivalent.
