Assistant Business Analyst

In recent years, we have focused on the luxury retail market across Asia Pacific, delivering architects’ visions for the world’s leading brands through groundbreaking design and precision craftsmanship. We are seeking a Assistant Business Analyst (1–2 years of experience) to directly support our Lead Analyst across Global Operations, Business Development, and Executive reporting. You will maintain our data foundation, build Power BI dashboards, and translate raw data into actionable insights. Crucially, you will analyse our organizational and construction workflows to establish tighter operational controls and improve project delivery. This role offers direct mentorship and exposure to senior leadership priorities for a proactive problem-solver eager to accelerate their career. Key Responsibilities Data Quality & Integrity: Assist with the ingestion, cleansing, and quality control of our business data. You will help ensure our data flows smoothly and accurately into our data models. Project Process & Controls: Map and analyse current construction project workflows. You will help identify bottlenecks, support the implementation of stronger project controls (e.g., cost, schedule, and resource tracking), and recommend practical process improvements. BI Dashboard Management: Utilise Power BI to refresh, optimise, and build user-friendly dashboards that clearly communicate key metrics to internal teams. Reporting & Presentations: Prepare clear, well-structured slide decks and present data insights and ad-hoc reporting during team meetings. Ad-hoc Analysis: Respond to time-sensitive data requests accurately using the Microsoft and Google suites to support ongoing business needs. What We’re Looking For Power BI Proficiency: A solid foundational command of Power BI (along with Excel or Google Sheets) and an eye for designing clean, intuitive data reports. AI Proficiency: Proficient in leveraging modern AI tools (e.g., Gemini or other tools) to accelerate data analysis, optimise daily workflows, and solve analytical problems efficiently. Clear Communication Skills: The ability to present data findings clearly and explain the practical meaning behind data pulls to team members. Problem-Solving Mindset: A positive attitude when tackling complex data puzzles or routine maintenance tasks, with a focus on finding efficient solutions. Adaptability: Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and iterative Agile environment. Strong Attention to Detail: A high standard for accuracy and the ability to catch formatting errors or data anomalies before reports are finalized. Who You Are The Essentials: Entrepreneurial: A proactive self-starter who investigates root causes and proposes solutions before being asked. Language: You are fluent in English with a strong professional writing style. Basic proficiency in Cantonese is required for local coordination. Tech Savvy: You don't need to be an expert in specific CRM tools, but you must be a fast learner with software. Communication: Professional, discreet, and comfortable interacting with C-suite leaders. The "Nice-to-Haves" : An interest in or basic understanding of the design and construction industry, particularly regarding project lifecycles. Familiarity with data visualisation concepts (e.g., Power BI or similar tools). Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud. Basic knowledge of business finance or project management principles (budgeting, scheduling, risk management).
