Assistant Accounting Manager - Retail (Contract 8 months) Urgent

About the Role We are looking for an experienced Assistant Accounting Manager - Retail (Contract 6 months) to join a leading retail organization. This role will support the Finance & Accounting function and oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, GL, and month-end closing . Review accounting transactions and ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Prepare and review monthly financial reports and management reports . Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Coordinate with internal departments, auditors, tax advisors, and external stakeholders. Monitor tax-related matters and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Improve accounting processes, internal controls, and operational efficiency. Support the Finance/Accounting Manager in various financial and accounting projects. Lead and develop the accounting team when required. Requirements Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field . 5–8 years of experience in accounting, with experience in a supervisory or management-level role. Experience in the Retail, FMCG, Hospitality, or other consumer-facing industries is preferred. Strong knowledge of full-set accounting, month-end closing, taxation, and financial reporting . Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics is preferred. Good command of English , both written and spoken. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
