General Purpose of the Position: The Network Engineer will monitor the health monitoring and event investigation of the customer and internal connectivity services/infrastructure. This position is also responsible for providing customer service technical support. By working closely with the Network Operations supervisor and manager, this position will configure, deploy, maintain, and provide documentation of the network infrastructure as well as be part of escalation. Supervisory Responsibilities: There are no supervisory responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and resolve customer tickets. Works closely with the customer or with the vendor until resolution. Create and maintain diagrams and technical documents. Participate in IT projects and effectively meet deadlines with minimum supervision. Provide input and feedback for the use and optimization of internal network/system management, NOC processes (Network Operation Center), and procedures. In the event of a critical situation or major service outage, will perform crisis management. This includes activating a conference bridge and coordinating with a cross-functional team in English. Internal IT support for related IT equipment, data center network, and system infrastructure. Other Duties: Required to work on the day and night shifts. Required to work a flexible schedule/on-call rota according to business needs/events. Physical Demands Other duties as assigned. Required Job Skills: Able to read, write, and communicate well in Thai and English. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate complex issues using easy-to-understand terminology accurately. Ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with high professionalism. Knowledge of the OSI Model and various troubleshooting techniques for identifying issues at each layer. Knowledge of industry cabling standards and data center infrastructure deployment. Understanding of LAN/WAN networking (TCP/IP). Administration of virtualized infrastructure. Knowledge of Cloud technologies. Ability to navigate and effectively utilize ticketing systems. Experiences with one or more of the following security technologies will be a plus: Firewalls, Network Intrusion Detection Systems, Vulnerability Scanners, Virtual Private Networking, Virus protection technologies, Log Management, network access control, proxy servers, and data loss prevention. Ability to effectively manage deadlines. Display strong organizational skills. Computer Equipment and Software: Network & Network security appliances/cloud based. Server & Storage appliances/cloud-based Compliance assessment/analysis software Common enterprise software and services such as MS365, AD, Telephony systems, etc. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, IT management, or higher education. At least 3 years of experience within the Information Technology field or related educational background. IT Networking Related Certifications Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, use hands, operate a computer, and have specific vision abilities including close and distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus working with computer and business equipment. If your position requires you to work in the field and/or warehouse, it is mandatory that you wear approved Personal Protective Equipment.
