Employment Type: Contractor (1 years) Work Arrangement: Hybrid (office-based 1–2 days/week) Working Days: Monday–Friday Location : Silom, Bangkok (base, hybrid) / occasional visits to Huaypong, Rayong Job Overview This role is responsible for logistics inbound/outbound operations with a strong focus on outbound activities and providing backup support for inbound. The position supports distribution, import/export operations, and coordination with customer forwarders to ensure business continuity and on-time delivery. In addition to core logistics execution (e.g., inventory allocations), the role provides full backup capability to the Inventory Specialist, performs audits, maintains critical master/transaction data, and updates functional procedures as required. Key Responsibilities Manage the movement of products/equipment/materials in and/or out of the country in accordance with company policies and procedures, ensuring full compliance with applicable local and international laws and regulations. Prepare, manage, and validate shipping/export documentation and required online submissions (if any) to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and compliant execution of export activities. Support the Distribution Requirements Planning process to ensure timely and accurate product delivery, including shipment planning and product movement coordination. Communicate and coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping agents, warehouses, customers, and relevant authorities across territories as needed to ensure efficient, positive, and compliant operations. Build and maintain working knowledge of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) applicable in the region, and support the appropriate use of FTA benefits where relevant (e.g., coordination on origin-related documentation and required supporting information). Develop and apply a solid understanding of logistics cost components and cost calculation (e.g., freight, handling, customs-related charges), supporting cost control initiatives and cost-optimized transport decisions. Build and maintain strong working knowledge of domestic and international requirements governing chemical shipments and Dangerous Goods (DG), including the ability to review and interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to support correct shipment classification, handling, labeling, and documentation. Coordinate and support DG regulatory submissions and permitting activities with Thai authorities, including submitting DG-related information to the Department of Industrial Works (DIW) and being familiar with the process to apply for and manage DIW permits/licenses as required. Investigate, plan, and implement effective transportation methods that best meet organizational, supplier, and customer needs while balancing service, cost, and compliance. Monitor and ensure logistics activities comply with Quality and HSE management system requirements, as well as local and international regulations. Contribute to a customer-focused service environment and drive service excellence. Resolve logistics/transportation non-conformances related to import/export, coordinate corrective actions with relevant stakeholders, and communicate with the Supply Chain team as appropriate. Monitor, record, analyze, and report logistics activities, trends, results, and recommendations to enable continuous improvement. Perform inventory allocation support and provide full backup coverage for the Inventory Specialist. Update and maintain logistics procedures (SOPs/work instructions) when appropriate or as assigned. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications / Experience · Thai national and able to read/write Thai · Able to prepare Thai export customs documentation (e.g., export declaration / customs forms) · Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related fields. · 5–7 years of experience in logistics, import/export, distribution, or related functions. · Experience in the chemical industry and/or a multinational environment is a strong advantage. · Experience working with 3rd party logistics providers (3PL), freight forwarders, and DG handling is preferred. · DG certification/training (e.g., IATA/IMDG) is required. · SAP knowledge. · Proficient in English (written and spoken). Skills & Competencies · Strong cross-functional coordination skills (Supply Chain, Customer Service, Planning, Sales, carriers/forwarders) and ability to work across multiple processes and procedures. · Self-starter mindset with strong customer problem-solving orientation. · Highly independent worker with appropriate escalation and periodic review with manager. · Ability to recognize, analyze, and propose solutions to complex logistics issues; engage relevant stakeholders to ensure proper resolution. · Strong analytical skills to interpret reports/data and drive continuous improvement actions. · Ability to make timely decisions to prevent delays and ensure customer deliveries are not impacted. · Teamwork: builds close working relationships with Customer Service, Planning, Sales, and other stakeholders. · Adaptability: flexible and effective in ambiguous, stressful, or changing situations. · Action-oriented: works with minimal supervision while knowing when to consult others.
