Job Responsibilities Provide technical support and guidance to Development and System Engineer teams on SQL tuning, database design, and data access issues. Manage database installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance across multiple database platforms. Perform database performance tuning, including SQL query optimization, troubleshooting, and resolving database-related issues. Manage daily database operations, including issue resolution, monitoring, reporting, resource utilization, and task scheduling. Review and ensure compliance with database backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and security policies. Perform preventive maintenance, database housekeeping, backup, and recovery activities to ensure system reliability and availability. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields. Minimum 5 years of experience in Database Administration with strong knowledge of RDBMS technologies. Strong hands-on experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL. Good understanding of database architecture, design, and overall database environment management. Required Skills & Experience Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers. Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). Experience with SQL query tuning, database performance optimization, and troubleshooting using common database tuning tools. Solid understanding of database backup, recovery strategies, and replication configurations. Experience with database monitoring tools and performance management. Knowledge of Procedural SQL and client data access technologies. Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
