Assistant Manager/Manager, Internal Audit, Risk Management & Process Improvement

Key Responsibilities Assist in drafting, developing, and updating comprehensive audit programs and checklists, ensuring full coverage of both operational and functional business units. Lead and execute the complete audit lifecycle—from initial planning and fieldwork to final reporting—ensuring all reviews are conducted thoroughly from start to finish. Act as a key point of contact to communicate audit objectives, clarify fieldwork requirements, and present clear, balanced audit findings to various internal stakeholders across the organization. Dynamically support management by executing unplanned reviews, urgent spot checks, or special internal investigations as business needs arise. Track and monitor the implementation status of agreed-upon audit recommendations to ensure that identified control gaps are effectively and timely resolved by department heads. Evaluate existing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workflows to identify control gaps, providing strategic recommendations to improve operational efficiency and risk mitigation. Contribute to the ongoing identification and assessment of emerging operational and functional risks to help align audit activities with the organization's broader objectives. Ability to analyse business data to identify trends, process gaps, and operational leakages. To execute any other tasks assigned by superior or any other authority. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, IT, or related field. Minimum of 8 years of experience in internal audit, risk management, compliance or a related field. Prior internal audit experience within the Retail, FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods), or fast-paced consumer-facing industries is highly advantageous. Strong analytical, investigation and problem-solving skills. Strong communications and stakeholder management skills. Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying risks and improvement opportunities. Currently office based Kelana Business Centre, Petaling Jaya (near to Glenmarie LRT station). Moving to Wisma Segi office at Kampung Melayu Subang, Shah Alam (U6) Q1-Q3 2027.
