Finance Analyst (3-month contract)

Position Title: Finance Analyst (Financial Planning & Analysis) Location: Melbourne CBD Contract: Initial 3-Month Contract The Opportunity Our client, a large multinational organisation, is seeking a commercially minded FP&A Analyst to join their high-performing finance team on an initial 3-month contract with a view to be made permanent. This role will play a key part in supporting financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities across the business during a critical period. Key Responsibilities Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly management reports and variance analysis Support budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with key stakeholders across the business Provide insightful analysis on financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities Partner with operational teams to drive cost control and improve financial outcomes Assist with financial modelling and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within FP&A processes and reporting Support ad hoc analysis and reporting requirements as needed Key Requirements Proven experience in an FP&A, commercial finance, or management accounting role Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex financial data Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modelling Experience working within large, complex organisations (multinational experience highly regarded) Strong stakeholder engagement and business partnering capabilities Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines Immediately available or able to start at short notice What's on Offer Opportunity to work with a globally recognised organisation Exposure to senior stakeholders and strategic decision-making Collaborative and high-performing team environment Melbourne CBD location with flexible working arrangements
