Assistant Payroll Manager -APAC

Job Location: BTS Line, Bangkok, Thailand Reports To: Financial Controller Key Roles & Responsibilities Regional Operations & Leadership: Lead end-to-end regional payroll execution across assigned APAC entities, ensuring high accuracy, SLA compliance, and operational excellence. Vendor & Service Management: Oversee outsourced payroll service providers, monitoring KPI/SLA metrics, service delivery, and performance governance. Payroll Accounting Oversight: Partner with the finance team to ensure accurate payroll GL journal entries, complex balance sheet reconciliations, month-end variance analysis, and payroll tax accounting. Governance & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with regional statutory requirements, tax regulations, local labor laws, internal control frameworks, and audit standards. Process Transformation: Drive continuous improvement, process automation, system enhancements, and regional standardization initiatives. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively with HR Business Partners, Regional Finance, Treasury, Tax, and corporate leadership. Qualifications & Key Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline. 6–8+ years of progressive experience in end-to-end payroll operations and payroll accounting within a Shared Services Center (SSC) or multinational corporation (MNC). Proven track record managing multi-country APAC payroll operations and vendor governance. Strong technical background in payroll GL accounting, financial reconciliation, and statutory compliance frameworks. Excellent command of business English (written and spoken). Proficiency in major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft) and modern payroll/HRIS software.
