SENIOR ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT · Busy financial accounting role · Based in Wiri · Full-time, permanent and onsite A terrific opportunity for you to be a key member of a small finance team that completes the accounting and finance administration for several well-established and stable businesses that are based under the same roof in Wiri and deliver end-to-end solutions in pumps, mechanical seals, industrial gaskets, and fluid handling systems. The role This is a hands-on, end-to-end finance role covering everything; ideal for someone who wants broad exposure across the full finance function rather than a narrow, silo role, and who can bring consistency and stability to a small, close-knit team. You will be responsible for accurate, timely processing and reconciliations within SAP Business One across bank, general ledger and sub-ledger accounts, along with drafting tax compliance returns and producing key management reports. · Preparation of accounts to Trial Balance · Tax compliance preparation and filing – GST and FBT · Accounts Payable, including international supplier accounts · Accounts Receivable, including new account applications, credit checks, and full debt management · Bank and balance sheet reconciliations, including inventory · Daily cash management, including cash and card sales · Weekly Payrolls · General admin (e.g. stationery supplies, daily sales reports) The benefits · Salary range of $85k to $90k · Free car parking Skills and experience requirements (and candidate selection criteria) · Previous experience of completing accounts to Trial Balance and being in a similar New Zealand based role, within a small to medium sized manufacturing environment for 6+ years, would be very advantageous · Previous experience with ERP accounting systems (SAP Business One is used) · Confident Excel user (VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, pivot tables) with good general Microsoft Office skills · Great attention to detail, a positive work attitude, and a sense of humour · Confident self-starter, total team player, and an excellent communicator Please note we will not consider applications from candidates who do not have the legal right to reside and work in New Zealand If you are interested in the role but wish to learn more before you apply, please contact: John Keesing: john@parrismills.co.nz ; (021) 649-920
