Quality Engineer - QMS (New Graduate Welcome) Location: Bang Kadi, Pathum Thani, Thailand About the job As a Quality Planning Engineer, your primary domain is the architecture and integrity of Sony Device Technology (Thailand) Quality Management System — not the production floor, and not hands-on product testing. In practical terms, 90–100% of your work revolves around documentation governance and audit readiness : maintaining compliance against ISO 9001 and IATF 16949, managing the full audit lifecycle from planning through CAR closure, and translating complex standards such as VDA 6.3 into actionable procedures that engineering teams can actually follow. What makes this role demanding is not the complexity of individual tasks, but the scope of accountability . The audit environment you will navigate includes IATF 16949 third-party surveillance, customer-facing audits from automotive OEM supply chains, and periodic quality reviews with Sony Semiconductor Solutions Japan headquarters. Responsibilities Assist in managing and maintaining all QMS documentation for ISO 9001 and IATF 16949; interpret complex standards (such as VDA 6.3) to provide actionable advice to engineering teams. Support the QMS team in coordinating internal, customer, and third-party audits. This includes scheduling, creating checklists, briefing senior management auditors, and facilitating the audit process. Issue Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and work closely with various departments to ensure effective, timely solutions are implemented and verified. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect and review quality documents with engineers on QMS requirements and assist in the review of core quality documents, including FMEAs (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and Control Plans. Prepare comprehensive audit reports and quality data for Management Review meetings, ensuring senior leadership is informed of the system's health. Coordinate with employees at all levels, acting as a bridge between operational staff and senior management to ensure organizational compliance. Qualifications Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical field. 0-1 year of experience. Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply. Exceptional attention to detail and a high sense of responsibility regarding documentation integrity. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word). TOEIC 600+ is required: Functional English proficiency — capable of reading and interpreting international quality standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and producing structured documentation in English; Preferred qualifications: Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or VDA 6.3 standards. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to secure cooperation from stakeholders at all levels. Ability to transform complex regulatory requirements into easy-to-understand procedures. If you have academic background or basic knowledge in these standards, it is a plus. (Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided). Note on the Role This is a system-focused position. It does not involve hands-on product testing or manufacturing-floor quality control.
