The Opportunity Our client is a leading financial services business with a significant Melbourne presence and a strong market reputation. This is a rare opportunity to step into a Financial Accounting Manager role and take real ownership of the financial accounting function within a fast-moving, high-performing environment. This role is ideally suited to a Manager or Senior Manager currently in a Big 4 or mid-tier audit environment looking to make their first move into industry. You'll bring technical rigour, energy and leadership to a team that sits close to the action: delivering reporting, partnering with senior stakeholders, and helping the business make sharper decisions. It's a demanding environment that rewards people who are switched on, commercially minded and thrive in ambiguity. Key Responsibilities Oversee the month-end close and delivery of accurate, timely financial and management reporting Prepare statutory financial statements and manage the external audit relationship Provide technical accounting guidance and interpret the impact of new accounting standards Lead, mentor and develop the financial accounting team Partner with senior stakeholders across the business to support commercial decision-making Drive process improvement and strengthen financial controls across the function About You CA/CPA qualified, currently at Manager or Senior Manager level in a Big 4 or mid-tier audit/chartered practice or with comparable industry experience Financial services exposure highly regarded A natural leader who enjoys building and developing a team Energetic, resilient and commercially switched on, comfortable in a demanding, fast-paced setting Strong technical accounting knowledge paired with confident business partnering skills Apply Now To apply, submit your CV via the link.
