(Deputy) Manager – Smart Construction

The Job: Lead delivery of complex digital tools, including Smart Site Safety Systems (SSSS/4S), BIM and automated workflows. Lead and manage multiple Smart Site Safety System (SSSS/4S) projects concurrently across various business units, ensuring successful delivery, stakeholder satisfaction, and compliance with project objectives. Perform daily checks and manage system operations for SmartSite, ensuring smooth functionality, minimal downtime and reliable performance across active construction projects. Oversee relationships with IoT and platform vendors to coordinate troubleshooting, equipment repairs, device replacements and inventory management. Act as a key point of contact for project teams and stakeholders, driving collaboration and effective communication across projects. Conduct QA/QC and sensor testing to build stable data pipelines, ensure data accuracy and verify the integrity of field-collected information. Execute data exchange tasks, construct dashboards and conduct advanced analytics to deliver actionable insights that support data-driven decision-making for management. Research, prototype, and deploy forward-thinking digital tools and smart construction technologies to improve overall project outcomes. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and coaching to junior team members to enhance team capability and knowledge sharing. Partner with internal teams, stakeholders and vendors to define user requirements, maintain documentation and deliver assigned tasks accurately and on schedule. Requirements: Degree or diploma in Construction, Computer Science or Construction background with strong innovation & technology interest. Professional qualifications or memberships in recognized industry institutions (e.g. CIOB) will be an advantage. Minimum 10 years or above relevant experience with at least 5 years in manager position in relevant position Proven experience managing multiple concurrent digital, smart construction, or technology-related projects and leadership experience, including coordinating cross-functional teams and mentoring junior staff. Proficiency or familiarity with IP networking, Power BI, Python, BIM and GIS is highly advantageous. Proven experience leveraging AWS platform services, architecture, and tools; hands-on exposure to IoT implementations is highly desirable. Willingness and ability to conduct regular on-site visits to local construction environments to support technical execution and operations. Demonstrated experience in digital, smart-tech or innovation-driven projects is a definite advantage. Strong written and verbal proficiency in both English and Mandarin to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
