ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for customer service and laboring superstars who are happy to be hands-on, get amongst it, and deliver service with a smile. On the day-to-day, you will work as part of our small but amazing team in our Drive Thru in Onehunga and unload customer vehicles, weigh and grade scrap metal to determine its value, and keep the place looking clean and tidy. This is an opportunity to put in the hours for the financial rewards as our team operates on a 100 hour fortnight, 6 days on one week (53 hours) and 5 the next week (47 hours), this also includes working every Saturday from 8 am - 2.00 pm. Oh and did I mention we also have an incentive program where you have the opportunity to earn additional $$ every month on top of your wages! ABOUT YOU If you are a happy go lucky, love a bit of banter and a chat with customers kinda person, or you are use to, and enjoy dealing with tradies and the general public, finishing every transaction with a smile or a bit of a laugh then we have the job for you! If you've got a great work ethic, enjoy working with your hands and doing a good day's graft, and maybe you are looking for an exciting change, a bit of banter in your day, and the potential to develop this role into a career then we want to talk to you! You are an excellent communicator and have excellent spoken and written English language skills Because you are friendly and down to earth you'd enjoy having a bit of banter with our regular customers who are tradies, auto wreckers and clean out the garage on the weekenders! As this role is hands-on, you are fit, and healthy. Although, in saying that you don't have to be the incredible hulk so everyone who is happy with a bit of lifting and unloading of vehicles should apply. You've got reasonable computer skills and know how to operate a tablet, however, we will also offer you training on this. Attention to detail is your jam, and you enjoy improving processes to make them better and more efficient. Solution-focused, reliable, with a can-do attitude and strong work ethic, is an absolute must in this role. Our Drive Thru crew is small but mighty so reliability is super important! You have a great sense of humor and enjoy having a bit of a laugh while you work A fork-hoist certificate or F endorsement is a bonus, however, we are happy to provide this training as part of your professional development within the first 6 months for the right person.
