Site Manager - Structural

Are you an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in structural construction? We are seeking a highly capable Site Manager - Structural to join a national construction company that is rapidly expanding its presence in New Zealand's structural, industrial, and commercial building sector. With a reputation for delivering large-scale engineered building solutions across a range of industries, this business has built an impressive portfolio of aviation, warehousing, logistics, retail, manufacturing, and industrial projects nationwide. Based in Whangārei , this approximately 8-month contract offers the opportunity to lead a significant structural build from the ground up, managing all site activities and ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery. Key Responsibilities Oversee all day-to-day site operations Drive project programme delivery and site productivity Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel Maintain high standards of health and safety compliance Ensure quality workmanship and adherence to specifications Coordinate site logistics and construction sequencing Monitor project milestones and proactively resolve issues Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders About You Proven experience as a Site Manager, Senior Foreman, or similar leadership position Strong structural steel, industrial, commercial, or large-scale construction experience Demonstrated ability to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget Excellent planning, leadership, and communication skills Strong understanding of NZ construction and health & safety requirements Ability to read and interpret construction and structural drawings Relevant trade qualification or construction management background preferred What's on Offer This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking national contractor that is investing heavily in the structural construction market.
