Workshop Mechanic

About the role Escape Rentals is one of New Zealand's favourite campervan hire companies. We've been operating for nearly twenty years, with over 40,000 happy hires. Our busy Christchurch branch is looking for a full-time Mechanic to join their crew. This is an excellent opportunity for an Automotive Mechanic. Key responsibilities Mechanical servicing and repairs to the fleet to the stipulated standards as per company guidelines Implementing a preventative maintenance programme which improves the reliability of our vehicles Certificate of fitness work Interior refurbishment of campers Tyre changing and wheel balancing Ensure all assigned daily tasks are completed in a timely manner Work as part of the team to achieve productivity targets Assisting with the upkeep and cleaning of the branch sites and premises About you Fully qualified automotive technician At least two years experience working in an automotive environment Full valid driver's licence Ability to work unsupervised Being responsible for the quality and completion of own tasks Ability to follow instructions and requests as directed Basic computer skills Willingness to learn new tasks/skills Contribute positively to team morale Adaptability to changing environment About us Escape Rentals is one of New Zealand's favourite campervan hire companies.
