The Job Based in Invercargill, we are looking for a qualified and experienced carpenter who is looking to build their career with Breen. We offer the opportunity to work on a variety of construction projects, including residential, commercial, high-end architectural and civil construction sites. Your tasks may include concrete work, framing, hardware, insulations, joinery, siteworks, trims and finishing, windows and doors, erecting walls, building stairs, or precision tasks such as repairing furniture or installing cabinets, trim and moulding, as well as excavations, demolition work, precast erection, reinforcing steel, and roof framing. What you'll need to succeed · Proven experience as a carpenter (LBP or trade qualified preferred) · Hands on building experience · Knowledge of building methods and materials · Skilled in finishing and fit-out work · Able to interpret technical drawings and plans · Effective time management skills including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines · Strong interpersonal skills and good at working as part of a team · Able to work outdoors, at heights, and physically fit (lifting up to 25kgs) · A full driver's licence or working towards one · Ability to work away from home on occasion We offer you · Great supportive team within a company that has a genuinely people-focused culture · We will invest in your growth, value your contribution and nurture your personal and professional development · Competitive remuneration package · Health insurance and service bonuses · Regular company functions and social events, including an active social club We will shortlist as candidates apply, so don’t delay in submitting your application!
