About the role Join the Regional team in Timaru as an Estimator. This role provides the opportunity to progress your career with support and guidance from senior managers, an immediate start, and room to grow. Key responsibilities Take ownership of insurance building projects from commencement to completion Attend insurance claims and compile building reports and quotations Regularly communicate with homeowners and clients Coordinate access to properties Dispute and issue resolution Ensure all work conforms to legislative and contractual OHS requirements Ensure inspection, certificate of final inspection and other relevant documentation is signed off Travel in and around the South Canterbury region About you Proven examples of demonstrating drive and energy Extremely motivated and able to think outside the box Building Trade or Construction Qualification Insurance Building background advantageous, however not essential Intermediate Computer literacy Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities Excellent communication, customer service and relationship building skills Ability to be empathetic to the needs of the client Understanding of OHS practices, legislation, regulations Knowledge of current market rates and trades Benefits Vehicle, Fuel Card, Phone and Laptop provided Annual Salary reviews Support, training and guidance from experienced manager Supportive, social and collaborative team About us Positioned as one of Australia's and New Zealand's leading Insurance Builders, Johns Lyng Group has been established since 1953 and has a reputation for excellence.
