Prasan Gateway International School (PGIS) is a growing international school in Chalong, Phuket, delivering a high-quality education through the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC), International Primary Curriculum (IPC), the English National Curriculum, and the Oxford International Curriculum. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Thai Language Teacher who is passionate about making Thai engaging, meaningful, and accessible for both native Thai speakers and international students learning Thai as an additional language. The Role The successful candidate will teach Thai across the primary years, delivering differentiated lessons for both Thai First Language and Thai as a Second/Additional Language students. We are looking for a teacher who moves beyond traditional textbook instruction and embraces a communicative, student-centred approach that develops real-world language skills. You should be confident designing engaging lessons that incorporate project-based learning, inquiry, games, technology, cultural experiences, and collaborative activities to help students develop confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing Thai. Essential Requirements Thai national with appropriate teaching qualifications. Experience teaching in an international school . Strong understanding of teaching Thai as both a First Language and an Additional Language . Good spoken and written English. Experience using a communicative language teaching approach . Ability to design innovative, project-based, and inquiry-led learning experiences. Confident differentiating instruction for students with varying levels of Thai proficiency. Strong classroom management and organisational skills. A collaborative attitude and willingness to contribute to school life. Desirable Experience with IPC, IEYC, or other international curricula. Experience integrating technology into language learning. Creative ideas for celebrating Thai language and culture through school events and cross-curricular projects.
