Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs Build and operate event-driven systems using message queues Participate in system design and architectural decisions Design database schemas and optimize queries for relational and NoSQL databases Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps throughout the delivery lifecycle Lead solution design, mentor junior engineers, and drive technical standards Qualifications 5+ years of experience in backend development and system design Strong proficiency in Golang, or solid experience in another backend language (e.g. Java) with willingness to work in Go Hands-on experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ (producers/consumers, partitioning, delivery guarantees, error handling) Solid system design knowledge: microservices, caching, load balancing, high availability, and scalability Solid understanding of databases (MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, etc.): data modeling, indexing, transactions, and query optimization Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Good spoken and written Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) Immediately available candidates preferred
