Finance Senior Officer

Responsibilities Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to ensure timely and accurate financial closing. Manage the full spectrum of accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets, Bank Reconciliation, and General Ledger. Prepare management reports, financial analysis, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections to support business planning and decision-making. Analyze financial performance, operating costs, and variances, and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency and profitability. Prepare consolidated financial statements and ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS/FRS) and other applicable statutory requirements. Ensure timely submission of tax filings, statutory reports, and other regulatory requirements. Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, bankers, and regulatory authorities on audit, taxation, and compliance matters. Review accounting records, reconciliations, and financial transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal controls and company policies. Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, financial controls, and reporting efficiency. Supervise, guide, and support Finance Officers and junior finance staff to ensure work is completed accurately and within deadlines. Assist the Finance Manager in financial planning, business analysis, system implementation, and other finance-related projects. Perform any other duties or ad-hoc assignments as assigned by Management. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent. Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of financial accounting, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, costing, cash flow management, consolidation, and statutory reporting. Good understanding of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS/FRS), Companies Act, Income Tax Act, SST, and other relevant accounting regulations. Experience in handling external audits and liaising with auditors, tax agents, and government authorities. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/Accounting systems. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. Good leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to supervise a small team. Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines. Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
