Contracts Manager

I'm currently partnering with a highly respected national head contractor to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager for their growing Melbourne Interiors team. The role is predominantly office-based, working closely with Project Managers and Commercial Leaders to drive the commercial success of multiple projects. Responsibilities: Managing the full subcontract procurement and contract administration process. Negotiating subcontract agreements and mitigating contractual risk. Administering progress claims, variations, RFIs and payment schedules. Supporting project financial performance through forecasting, reporting and cost control. Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors. Mentoring junior team members while promoting best practice across safety, quality and project delivery. What you'll bring: Extensive experience as a Contracts Manager with a commercial head contractor. Strong commercial acumen and a thorough understanding of subcontract management and contract administration. Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills. A proactive, collaborative approach and the ability to build trusted relationships. A construction-related qualification (or equivalent industry experience). Why consider this opportunity?
