Key Roles & Responsibilities 1. Strategic Product Management & Vision Requirement Engineering: Author comprehensive user stories and product requirements aligned with the ecosystem vision, ensuring all features deliver measurable user value Stakeholder Synthesis: Decode complex or ambiguous stakeholder inputs into clearly defined functional and non-functional requirements; distinguish between optional features and mission-critical objectives using critical thinking Roadmap Collaboration: Partner with Product Owners and the Customer Experience (CX) team to advance the product roadmap, balancing strategic ambition with technical feasibility while constructively challenging baseline assumptions Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify project risks, process gaps, and digital opportunities to safeguard project timelines and guarantee successful solution delivery 2. Data-Driven Analytics & Team Mentorship Portfolio Prioritization: Exercise strong professional discipline to manage, prioritize, and execute deliverables across multiple complex product roadmaps simultaneously based on business value Insight Extraction: Analyze user feedback and UX analytics to determine product performance drivers, translating findings into actionable strategies to improve system optimization Talent Mentorship: Guide and mentor intermediate Business Analysts, fostering a culture of delivery excellence through structured thinking, rapid iteration, and effective collaboration 3. Cross-Functional Integration & Change Management Cross-Functional Leadership: Coordinate across IT, operations teams, and external stakeholders to understand requirements, negotiate priorities, and align solutions with organizational objectives Change Adoption: Design and execute deployment strategies for new products and capabilities, ensuring seamless organizational adoption through structured training, communication, and stakeholder engagement 4. Continuous Process Improvement Process Optimization: Identify and execute opportunities for process improvement to enhance both individual contributions and broader team delivery quality Industry Alignment: Maintain active knowledge of global maritime technology trends, emerging tools, and modern business analysis methodologies Organizational Relationships Internal: Operational Product Owners, CX Teams (Product, UX, QA), and Technical/Ops teams distributed globally across Hong Kong, India, Singapore, Cyprus, the Philippines, and China (p. 3). External: Ship Owners, corporate clients, suppliers, and third-party technology providers (p. 3). Job Requirements & Qualifications Minimum Qualifications (Essential): Experience: 5+ years of experience in a Business Analysis or Senior Business Analysis role, with a proven track record of developing repeatable, scalable IT product Communication: Exceptional written and spoken English communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences Data Proficiency: Strong data-driven mindset for driving prioritization, demonstrated through: Advanced Excel capabilities, OR Core database and analytics tools such as SQL, ElasticSearch, or Google Analytics for UX analysis Leadership & Influence: Demonstrated experience influencing senior and C-level executives (Director level and above), coupled with a history of mentoring junior BA talent Change Management: Proven track record of leading large-scale change management initiatives across enterprise departments Emerging Tech: Applied professional experience utilizing AI prompting for research, use case discovery, requirements gathering, and data analysis Preferred Qualifications (Desirable): Tooling: Proficiency with JIRA (sprint planning, backlog refinement), Figma (design collaboration), and managing cross-tool design-to-delivery handoffs Methodologies: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, with the flexibility to adapt to Waterfall or Hybrid frameworks depending on project context Certifications: Professional qualification in process mapping (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) Domain Knowledge: Experience in the Maritime/Shipping industry, or related sectors such as Aviation, Logistics, or Transport
