The Opportunity: A Pivotal Role in Regional Growth This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and versatile professional to join Asmech Holdings and play a pivotal role in supporting a key Group executive. Reporting directly to the Director of Business Excellence, you will be instrumental in driving group-wide initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, strengthen corporate governance, and support strategic projects. Based in our Kuala Lumpur office, this position is critical for supporting a leading industrial automation provider during a period of significant transformation and regional growth. We are seeking a dynamic and resilient professional who can navigate complexity, coordinate with senior stakeholders, and execute with precision on high-impact projects. Responsibilities Strategic Projects & Initiatives: Work closely with the Director on the execution of high-priority, group-level strategic projects from conception through to completion. Coordinate complex projects involving multiple internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, subsidiary leadership, and external advisors. Prepare detailed analyses, reports, and presentations for senior management to support key decision-making processes. Manage the preparation and coordination of materials for corporate-level strategic reviews and projects. Operational Excellence & Regional Process Harmonization: Drive initiatives to analyze and improve core business processes across regional subsidiaries to enhance efficiency, scalability, and standardization. Develop and implement a group-wide framework for monitoring operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), identifying areas for continuous improvement. Act as a key resource to subsidiary leadership on matters of operational best practice and business excellence. Group Governance, Policy & Compliance: Manage the development, drafting, and amendment of group-wide policies, procedures, and governance frameworks to ensure operational integrity. Oversee the roll-out and implementation of new policies across all subsidiaries, ensuring clear communication and providing necessary support. Establish and manage a system for regular policy review and compliance monitoring, ensuring the Group adheres to corporate standards. Stakeholder Management & Communication: Serve as a key liaison between the Director's office, subsidiary leadership, and corporate functions to ensure strategic alignment. Facilitate alignment meetings, workshops, and review sessions with senior leaders to ensure cohesive execution of group initiatives. Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Candidate Profile & Qualifications Experience: A minimum of 8-12 years of progressive experience in roles such as operations, business management, corporate strategy, management consulting, or a senior operational role within a multi-entity organization. Experience within the manufacturing, engineering, or industrial technology sectors is preferred but not required. Strategic & Operational Acumen: Demonstrated experience in business process improvement, developing corporate policies, and supporting strategic initiatives. A strong understanding of corporate governance and compliance principles is essential. Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to engage, influence, and collaborate effectively with key senior management, Heads of Departments (HODs), and external partners. Analytical & Communication Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear and concise reports and presentations. Personal Attributes: A proactive, resilient, and resourceful self-starter with a high degree of professional integrity and the ability to operate with discretion in a fast-paced environment. Possesses high emotional intelligence (EQ), with the ability to both lead initiatives and support senior leadership effectively. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. An MBA or other relevant advanced degree is advantageous.
