Main Purpose of Job To manage and oversee legal collection matters by reviewing and selecting default accounts for litigation, providing instructions and support to solicitors, liaising with relevant authorities and legal representatives, monitoring solicitors' performance, handling deceased, bankruptcy, and other legal-related cases, and ensuring the legal collection targets set by Management are achieved. Principle Responsibilities & duties To adhere with company’s internal policies and guidelines as well as BNM and any regulatory requirements. To achieve legal target (e.g. deceased) and delivery good collection result. To review and check the list of accounts for issuing Letter of Demand and Termination. To liaise with respective department on retrieving necessary supporting documents for legal proceedings and any legal matter. To ensure all supporting documents are made available for the solicitors to perform legal proceedings. To update in the system on the legal action taken against the defaulters timely. To do and maintain proper filling on cases that have pursued with legal action. To check and process the invoices submitted by solicitors. To monitor legal status of the accounts and liaise with respective unit / region pertaining to legal matters. To report solicitors’ performance to immediate superior and prepare report for Management review. To liaise with Next-of-kin (Deceased case), Authority bodies pertaining to seize vehicle or attending court hearing. Minimum job requirement (education & experience) Diploma or Degree holder or professional qualification in relevant disciplines. Minimum 1 to 2 years working experience in collection in general, legal or any related field. Relevant exposures and knowledge of credit management or operations of banking / financial institutions is preferred. Knowledges, skills and abilities required. Good PC skills and proficient in MS Office applications. Good negotiation, communication and writing skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. Good listening, persuasion and presentation skills. Ability to support and assist other team member, work under pressure. Strong logical, analytical and problem-solving skills Knowledge of collection, Malaysia Law, Bank Negara collection related guidelines and banking / financial institutions operation.
