Head of Accounting

Job Summary Responsible for overseeing General Ledger (GL) operations and ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting for the retail business. This role also leads accounting processes for new business initiatives such as new store formats, channels, and commercial models, supporting business expansion and financial control. Key Responsibilities Manage GL operations, month-end/year-end closing, and financial reporting in compliance with TFRS/IFRS. Ensure accuracy of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements. Oversee retail-specific accounting including sales, promotions, discounts, inventory, and POS transactions. Strengthen financial controls across store operations and inventory management. Lead accounting setup and processes for new business initiatives (new stores, channels, and business models). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business growth. Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and internal control requirements. Support audits and drive process improvement and system enhancement. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred). 8–10+ years of accounting experience, preferably in retail or multi-site business. Strong knowledge of GL, financial reporting, and retail accounting processes. Experience in inventory accounting and ERP systems. 3–5+ years of management experience. Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
