About the Role Trident is a pre-IPO investment vehicle preparing for a proposed listing on the LEAP Market of Bursa Malaysia. We are seeking an experienced investment-sales professional to lead the marketing and placement of Trident’s pre-IPO shares to eligible high-net-worth individuals, sophisticated investors, family offices, funds and institutional investors. This is a front-line sales and capital-raising role . It is not a traditional investor relations, corporate communications or reporting position. The successful candidate must have: Direct experience selling investment products or raising capital; Previous experience with a bank, private bank, investment bank, asset manager, fund, securities firm or similar financial institution; An established personal network of potential investors; and A demonstrated ability to originate investor leads, conduct investment presentations and convert prospects into completed investments. The candidate will work closely with Trident’s founders and senior management to organise investor roadshows, develop the investor pipeline and execute the company’s pre-IPO capital-raising strategy. Key Responsibilities Pre-IPO Investment Sales and Capital Raising Market and place Trident’s pre-IPO shares with eligible sophisticated investors, high-net-worth individuals, family offices, funds and institutional investors. Use your existing investor network to originate qualified investment opportunities. Build, manage and convert a structured pipeline of prospective investors. Arrange and conduct one-to-one investor meetings, private presentations, roadshows and investment briefings. Present Trident’s investment proposition clearly and persuasively to potential investors. Follow up actively with prospects and manage the sales process from initial introduction through to investment completion. Maintain accurate records of investor discussions, pipeline status, expected investment amounts and conversion progress. Work towards clearly defined capital-raising and investor-conversion targets. Investor Proposition and Sales Materials Develop a strong understanding of Trident’s business model, financial performance, investment thesis and proposed LEAP Market listing. Translate operational, engineering, construction and renewable-energy information into commercially compelling investment metrics. Assist in preparing investor presentations, information memoranda, financial summaries, frequently asked questions and roadshow materials. Tailor the investment presentation according to the requirements of different investor groups. Communicate investor feedback, objections and market concerns to the founders and management team. Strategic Relationships Develop relationships with private bankers, wealth managers, investment advisers, family offices, investment banks, private equity firms, venture capital firms and fund managers. Identify potential distribution, referral and strategic partnership opportunities. Support the founders in future capital-raising exercises, including private placements and potential post-listing fundraising activities. Monitor investor sentiment, market conditions and comparable investment opportunities within the construction, infrastructure and renewable-energy sectors. Required Experience and Qualifications Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, Banking or another relevant discipline. At least 3 to 6 years of direct investment-sales, capital-raising, private-banking, wealth-management, fund-distribution or institutional-sales experience . Previous employment with a bank, private bank, investment bank, asset manager, private equity fund, venture capital fund, securities firm or investment-related organisation. An existing and active network of potential investors in Malaysia or the wider region. Proven experience introducing, presenting or selling investment opportunities to high-net-worth or sophisticated investors. Strong commercial instincts and a sales-driven, results-oriented approach. Confidence conducting investment presentations and engaging senior decision-makers. Ability to explain financial information and investment concepts clearly and credibly. Strong relationship-management, negotiation and closing skills. High level of personal initiative, persistence and accountability. Highly Desirable Experience Experience raising capital for private companies, pre-IPO companies, private equity funds, venture capital funds or alternative investments. Existing relationships with family offices, private bankers, wealth managers, fund managers and institutional investors. Experience participating in investor roadshows or private-placement exercises. Familiarity with Bursa Malaysia, including the LEAP Market. Experience in the construction, infrastructure, engineering or renewable-energy sectors. Relevant licences, certifications or regulatory experience within Malaysia’s capital-markets or financial-services industry. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is a commercially aggressive but credible investment professional who is comfortable originating opportunities and asking investors for commitments. You should be: A proactive relationship builder with a genuine “hunter” mentality; Comfortable working with sales and capital-raising targets; Able to develop opportunities independently rather than relying solely on company-generated leads; Confident speaking with sophisticated and senior investors; Persistent in following up and progressing investor discussions; Capable of representing the company professionally during private meetings and roadshows; and Motivated by measurable fundraising and sales outcomes. Applicants whose experience is limited to investor reporting, corporate communications, public relations, equity research or preparation of investor materials, without direct investment-sales or capital-raising experience, are unlikely to be suitable for this position. All investor engagement and capital-raising activities must be undertaken in accordance with applicable laws, regulatory requirements and the company’s internal approval processes.
